OSHA Survey
The Occupational Requirements Survey (ORS) provides estimates measuring four types of occupational requirements: physical demands; environmental conditions; education, training, and experience; and cognitive and mental requirements. Survey estimates provide insight into the requirements of work in the U.S. economy.
To maintain records of injuries and illnesses throughout the year, respondents are asked to record their information in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) injury and illness logs.
Under Public Law 91-596, all establishments that receive this mandatory survey must complete and return it within 30 days, even if they had no work-related injuries and illnesses during 2021.
